Students’ health must be assessed each day prior to coming to school. If students are exhibiting any of the symptoms of COVID-19, or have in the previous 24 hours, they should stay home and not return to school until they are symptom free for 24 hours without the use of medications. The Ohio Healthy Youth Environments Survey (OHYES!) is a free, voluntary, web-based survey to collect information that schools and communities can use to access resources to reduce risk behaviors and create healthy and safe community, school and family environments.  Students at MFMS will take the survey on December 9, 2019 at school.  Parents who would like more information or who do NOT wish to grant permission for their student(s) to participate in the survey may complete the form HERE.

Congratulations to our 


The annual spelling bee was held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, in the middle school gym for parents and streamed live online.  Martins Ferry City Schools top three Spelling Bee finishers from left to right are seventh grader Miranda Volan, first place; sixth grader Wyatt Phillips, second place; and fifth grader Mia McCormack, third place.  Both Miranda Volan and Wyatt Phillips will represent the district in the Belmont County Spelling Bee.  Congratulations!
