Double Purple RiderI hope this message finds you healthy and safe. Due to the extension of the stay at home order and the closure of schools through May 1st, I have some updates to pass along. First, the school campus is now closed until further notice. Secondly, a district decision was made to stop the delivery of lunches during the extended stay at home order. This decision was made to limit the possible exposure of the coronavirus by our students, parents/guardians and staff members. If you are in need of food, we have dropped off prepackaged meals at the Grace Presbyterian Church. Starting Monday new elementary school blizzard bags will be available on the district website. Updated middle school assignments are currently posted on the district website and our high school students will continue to access their curriculum online. If you do not have internet access, please call me at 740-633-1732 and I will make arraignments to provide a hard copy for you. I want to stress we are only offering a hard copy for those who do not have internet access.
Seniors, if we are unable to go back to school prior to our scheduled graduation, we will at some point have a graduation celebration. This may be a virtual ceremony and or a parade. This unfortunate situation has interrupted a very special time of your lives, but we will make sure to celebrate your graduation. We will get through this together.
Students, I have really enjoyed seeing the #RiderPride door decorating. This is a great way to display Purple Rider Pride during this difficult time.
Please see the following messages from our Administrative Team.

Please take care,

Jim Fogle

Dear Parents/Guardians,

With our break from school being extended through May 1, our teachers have created four more weeks of Blizzard Bag materials. These new Blizzard Bags will be available on the Ayers Elementary website, http://ayers.mfcsd.k12.oh.us, beginning on Monday. This work will be labeled Weeks 4, 5, 6, and 7. The Blizzard Bags for the original break, Weeks 1, 2 and 3, will also stay up on the website. I've got a couple questions from parents about turning in the work for the first three weeks. All completed work needs to be held onto for now. If we make it back to school this year, it can be turned in then. If not, we will have more information on how to submit completed work at that time.
In regards to the Sarris Candy order, we are unable to distribute the order at this time. Due to the governor's stay at home order, which has been extended through April, our campus is closed with no exceptions, and we are unable to distribute, whether it be on campus or at an offsite location. I understand that this is a great inconvenience, especially with Easter around the corner, but it is a matter of keeping parents/guardians and staff members out of harm's way. I have looked at several different options to get everyone's orders out, but unfortunately, none are feasible at this time. As soon as the stay at home order is lifted, I will have information out about when and where the pick-up will be. Again I greatly apologize for this inconvenience.

I hope all students and their parents/guardians are safe and healthy. Everyone at Ayers Elementary misses all of you and we hope to see you very soon. Keep doing the best with the work that we have provided and take care!

Mr. Stankovich
